Primary Coordinators’ Message

Dear Parents and Guardians,

We would like to sincerely welcome everyone to the 2021 academic year.

This term has been quite eventful, we’ve had a lockdown, we’ve had masks on, masks off and we would just like to take the time to thank all parents and guardians for their support and understanding. We would also like to thank our beloved students who have been excellent throughout all of this!

Assembly

Due to the covid restrictions, we haven’t been able to hold face-to-face assemblies. However, we have continued with whole-school assemblies online. Each class has participated in assembly from the comfort of their own classrooms. Hopefully, as restrictions ease, we will be able to resume our regular practice.

Attendance

It is crucial for your child to attend school daily. Attending school on a daily basis increases your child’s learning and makes students feel part of their classroom. If your child is absent from school, a medical certificate must be provided to the school office.

The school gate (oval area) opens at 8:30am.

Foundation - Year 2 students are dismissed from the basketball courts at 3:33pm.

The David Drive Gate opens at 3:25pm.

SEQTA Requirements

Parents, please kindly ensure your personal information on SEQTA is updated. Please also advise relevant teachers of any medical issues. If your child requires any action plans please see Mrs Marziah Mahmood at your earliest convenience.

Our Better Buddies program has begun with great success. Our year 6 and foundation team are working well together, enjoying each other’s company and building caring relationships. Our year 6 students are taking care of their buddies and guiding them on school grounds. Thank you to all our teachers and counsellors who have made this program successful.

We hope that everyone has a great year!

Warm Regards,
Ms Mirela Hot, Primary Coordinator.
